LaundryMan’s Quick Fixes to Wash Away Makeup Stains
Published on 14th July, 2018
It’s safe to say that makeup stains are the bane of any girl’s existence. Raise your hands if this has ever happened with you. You’re adding the finishing touch to your perfect work-look and end up getting lipstick onto your clothes or you’re switching outfits before your Saturday night date, only to see your eyeshadow or mascara smudged on your blouse. Out partying and someone moves in for a hug and transfers foundation to your collar. Oh boy, what a bummer!
A lot of hard-work and time goes in to get your look on-point and just when you’re about done, somehow, you end up messing your outfit in the process. Sounds familiar right? We understand that these stains are not fun to deal with and a ridiculous amount of energy goes in to remove them.
Beauty comes at a great price, but it doesn’t have to be this high. So, we have some handy quick-fixes for you to deal with these stains for when they pop-up at the most inopportune of times:
Spilled liquid foundation on your little black dress? Worry not, apply a little shaving cream to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before tossing it in for a wash.
Got a lipstick stain on your shirt? Whether it’s a red, brown or nude tone, just spritz the stain with your hairspray, let it sit for 10 minutes and dab it with a sponge to remove excess colour and moisture.
Dropped some eyeshadow on your outfit? Worry not, just apply a few drops of white vinegar with water to the stain with a toothbrush.
Dropped the mascara wand on your favourite pair of pants? No problem, just simply apply a stain remover or liquid detergent to the spot and rub it gently with a brush. Allow the garment to sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse it under hot water.
