It is rightly said, ‘nothing is better than going home to aesthetically pleasing interiors’. Correct us if we are wrong, but we strongly believe in the power of happiness that comes with decorating your own house. Shopping is the easy part- the thrill of the chase, the flutter of excitement at bringing a new treasure home, choosing a new paint color or materials for a remodel.

But what happens when your pet decides to soil your couch, or your kids feed your crisp white bedsheets more than they feed themselves, or your own clumsiness results in wine spills on your glorious finds? Damn, the thought of these makes us cringe.

While we’ve all witnessed these inevitable situations and cursed the heavens over spoiling our home interiors while wishing we could just press the “undo” button, let us reiterate – even the worst stains aren’t necessarily a lost cause.

So, here’s LaundryMan with some handy quick fixes to help you temporarily fight with every type of smudge and splotch with items you likely have around the house:

scented candles
Are you a fan of scented candles but dread the mess that spilled wax gets along? Fret not, just place an ice cube on the stain and scrape it off with butter knife.
coffee
Dropped your coffee on your favorite carpet? Worry not, all you need is to pour a bit of beer on top of the stain and rub it.
red wine
Spilled your favorite red wine on your couch while enjoying a good conversation with friends? Fret not, all you need is to blot the stain with white wine. Once the stain neutralizes sprinkle some salt and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
stained bed sheets
Stained your bedsheet by accidently cleaning your hands with the bed sheet while having a chocolate? No problem, just apply diluted white vinegar to the stain and flush the spot with cold water.là!
curtain
Noticed a discoloration on the bottom of your curtain? Fret not, just soak the curtains in a mixture of distilled vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and water. Let it soak for
at least an hour and let it work its magic.
