Check the Hoses
Firstly, check the hoses. Usually, the fill hoses are placed at the rear end. Thoroughly check if the threaded fittings are tight enough. Check the drain hose as well. Make sure the drain hose is not triggering the leak.
Damaged Door Seal
Make sure that the door is sealed properly. Check if a sock has been trapped between the door and the seal. If yes, then the problem has been fixed. If not, then check if there are any traces of corrosion on the seal. If there are no such traces, clean the seal properly. You can also clean the door for any detergent residue, hair, or bits of cotton that may not be allowing a proper seal.
High Water Pressure
If yours is a frontloading machine and its soap drawer is leaking, it can due to one of the two reasons: either the water intake pressure is too high, causing rapid spillage of the water over the top, or something is choking the water flow. Anyone being the reason, just turn the water pressure a little down and you are good to go.
Excessive Detergent Utilisation
Using excessive quantities of detergent can cause oversudsing in your washer. Prepare a mixture of 8 parts water to 1 part vinegar and run a wash cycle. The mixture will dissipate the suds and reduce the oversudsing in the tub, which in turn will eliminate the leakage problem.
Blocked Dispenser
Typically a blockage in the dispenser drawer is caused due to the excessive usage of the detergent, which can easily trigger overflowing of the water. Pour some hot water in the drawer and clean it off using a brush. It will stop the problem from happening again.
